Plunging Botton Line in Retail

4/16/2020 — AdAge reports today that U.S. retail sales tumbled in March by 8.7%, the most on record, as the coronavirus forced thousands of the nation’s merchants to close and left millions of Americans without a paycheck. Clothing stores lost more than half their sales, while furniture stores and restaurants and bars fell 26.8 percent.
